Stegall Home residents visit the Mexico-Cardenas Museum

The men visited the Mexico-Cardenas Museum on Saturday, July 22, in Waxhaw, NC.  The museum was full of folk art, photos, artifacts, and clothing.  Along the way they learned about Lazaro Cardenas, Mexico's president from 1934-1940.  There is also a 1938 Chevrolet parked right in front of the museum that was given by the president of Mexico.

Dylan & Ava visit Stegall Home

We were so blessed to have Dylan and Ava come and share the gospel through music with our men on Friday, July 14th.  Dylan plays the guitar beautifully while Ava lifts her amazing voice to the heavens!  We truly enjoyed our time with them.  They even let us join in on the last song "This is Amazing Grace"!  We will all be looking for them to audition for America's Got Talent here in the near future.  God has given them both amazing gifts and it blesses our hearts to see them use those gifts for HIM!!!

Alphabet Museum

The men from Stegall Home toured the Alphabet Museum this Saturday, July 8th, in Waxhaw, NC.  The men had a tour guide that led them through the museum and explained the origins of the alphabets that exist in over 7,000 different languages.  The men were able to write their names using heiroglyphics.  They also wrote their names in 4 other languages to include Arabic, Assyrian, Hebrew, and Punjabi.  They listened to an audio recording of an African language that used clicking sounds as their communication.  The Alphabet Museum was an excellent way to spend our Saturday and we learned a lot in the process.

Joy Prom 2017

The men from Stegall Home attended the 2017 Joy Prom on Saturday, April 29th, at Carmel Baptist Church.  Everyone looked so handsome dressed in their suits and ties.  They were once again met by the paparazzi on the red carpet.  The dessert table was fit for kings and calling our men's names!  They each had beautiful prom dates that helped them dance the afternoon away, along with having prom portraits made.  After the prom they had worked up such an appetite dancing that they hit the IHOP for a late lunch, early dinner!  Thank you to Carmel Baptist for once again hosting this special event!  We appreciate all of your hard work and dedication!
