Stegall Home Residents Complete CPR/First Aid Training

The residents of Stegall Home attend Compensatory Education classes at South Piedmont Community College in Monroe every Tuesday and Thursday evening. The class decided they wanted to learn CPR/First Aid as their class project this year. The training took 2 sessions and the class received their certificates of training completion this Thursday. Our Stegall Home caregiver, Mary, volunteered to be the injured party and have the residents practice their First Aid skills on her- HOW VERY BRAVE! They did an excellent job, and Mary is recovering nicely. Congratulations guys on such a fine accomplishment!

Shelter from the Elements/Help from Hopewell

The brotherhood from Hopewell Baptist Church have completed building a picnic shelter at the Stegall Home Pond with money given to us through a grant from Union County. The shelter is a 16x16 and will hold 2 picnic tables and a grill for the residents of the home to use when fishing or simply needing a day outdoors. We would just like to say thank you for all of their hard work and dedication! We love and appreciate you all!
