March 13th-17th, 2012 Justin traveled to Hilton Head, S.C. to compete with other tennis players in the SOUTHEAST REGION SPECIAL OLYMPICS TENNIS matches. He practiced long and hard to make it to this competition and came back with a gold medal! We are very proud of Justin and the time and effort he had put into the sports that he plays.
The residents at Joy Cove gathered at Three Forks Home for a good ole’ green St Patrick’s Day party. They enjoyed green food, lots-o-fun, and fellowship with one another!
Basketball players from Joy Cove traveled with their team to Charlotte to play in the Western Basketball Tournament. They played hard competing against other teams from the Western part of North Carolina and came home with the bronze medal! We are very proud of you guys and congratulations!
Back in February Special Olympics of Watauga County threw a bowling and pizza party for all of the athletes in Special Olympics. The residents of Joy Cove love bowling and they know how to have a good time at a party. Thank you Watauga County Special Olympics!
Three Forks is full as of 1/31/12!!!! We would like to welcome Robert to our Joy Cove Family! Robert is guy that has a great sense of humor, loves history, music, and video games, and is full of information that most people would have never known. His housemates have fully accepted him and have made him feel at home. We are so glad to have you, Robert!
