United Way Day of Caring
The residents from Stegall Home participated in the United Way Day of Caring with their Compensatory Education class from South Piedmont Community College this Saturday, August 28th. The day began at 7:30am on the campus of Wingate University with breakfast being served for all volunteers. There were over 300 volunteers on hand for the day. Our group went to the United Way Office in downtown Monroe to help sort toiletry items to be donated to local homeless and battered womens shelters. It was a wonderful day spent giving back to our community!
