Valentine’s Banquet at Pritchard Memorial Baptist

The Metrolina Baptist Association hosts a Valentine’s Banquet each year for the area’s special friends. Each year it is held at a different church in Charlotte and this year was held at Pritchard Memorial Baptist. Everyone was treated to a sit down dinner, talent show, and special entertainment by the Chick Fil A cows, one of which did the splits at the end of their song- OUCH! The Stegall Home residents had the pleasure of sitting with Mr. Bob Lowman, the director of the Metrolina Baptist Association- what a special privilege and treat! Thank you for making everyone feel so special!

Providence Baptist Church- Feels Like Coming Home
Every year for the past 5 years we have been invited to Providence Baptist Church in Harrisburg, NC the Sunday closest to Valentine’s Day- this is the day the church takes up their offering for Baptist Children’s Homes of NC. We are so thankful for the support we receive from Providence Baptist. We were so excited about seeing and being in their new sanctuary- it is absolutely beautiful! This year we sang the song “This Is Not Where I Belong” by Building 429. We were also treated to a special lunch at Pizza Hut! Thank you Providence Baptist for loving us!

Michael Combs in Concert at Independence Hill Baptist Church

Mr. Harold Covington has a heart for missions, as does his church, Independence Hill Baptist in Huntersville, NC. Mr. Covington hosted Michael Combs in concert on Saturday, February 12th, and asked that the love offering go to the Stegall Home in an effort to help Sedrick with his goal to walk again!! Michael Combs was absolutely amazing- what a heart this man has for God- he shared his testimony not only with his words but through his music and 10 people were added to the Lambs Book of Life! Praise God! We had the pleasure of meeting Michael’s wife, Denise, and some of their friends. What an amazing opportunity and one we are so grateful for! God is good all the time! He is definitely alive and well in His people- thank you Mr. Covington for sharing your heart with us; thank you Independence Hill Baptist for allowing us to come; and thank you Michael Combs for your heart and passion for Jesus Christ!
