Stegall Home Residents Win BIg at Swimming Special Olympics
The Wingate University Swim Team has been hard at work training and preparing our athletes for the big swim meet that was held Saturday, April 17th. Our residents competed in 2 events each. Mike did the 15M Walk, and 15M unassisted- he won a Gold and Silver Medal. Billy did the 15M Walk, and 15M unassisted- he won a Gold and Silver Medal. Carey did the 15M Walk, and 15M unassisted and he won a Gold and Silver Medal. Ronnie did the 15M walk, and 15M unassisted- he won a Gold and Bronze Medal. David did the 25M Freestyle, and 15M unassisted- he won 2 Gold Medals. Sedrick did the 10M assisted swim, and 15M flotation- he won 2 Gold Medals. The event was capped off with a celebratory pizza party!!! Congratulations, guys! A huge “Thank You” to Wingate University for all of their hard work and for the use of their facilities! We had a blast!
