Hopewell Youth Spend the Day at Stegall Home
Stegall Home was blessed to have 20 Middle School Youth from Hopewell Baptist Church come and spend the day with the residents on Saturday, February 27th for about 3 1/2 hours. They played football, basketball, Lego’s and Wii with them, and of course had a snack! Everyone had a great time and a lot of friendships were developed. My heart was thrilled Sunday morning when the youth went up to the guys at church and just started talking to them! It really made our guys feel special! Thank you, Hopewell Middle School Boys! We’re up for a game of football anytime!

Residents Volunteer Time at Crisis Pregnancy Center
Monday, February 15th, staff and residents visited the H.E.L.P. Crisis Preganancy Center in Monroe. We spent 1.5 hours there sorting girls summer clothes from newborn to size 6. We then bagged the clothes by sizes in order for them to be given to families in need. The guys did great, and would like to go back to do more. Mike offered to mop the bathroom floors the next time we visit, and then he was told they had 5, so he may have changed his mind!?! We love this organization and appreciate the efforts they put forth in saving God’s children!

Providence Baptist Church gives to Stegall Home
The residents attended Providence Baptist Church in Harrisburg, NC, Sunday, February 14th. The church takes up their offering for Baptist Children’s Homes on Valentine’s Day of every year. They invited the guys to come and share a song with them, then treated us to a wonderful breakfast! They also collected some much needed items for the home! We are so very blessed to have such a good relationship with Providence Baptist and words cannot begin to express our gratitude for all that they do for us! The guys also did a great job with their song, and as the worship leader stated, “There could not have been a greater display of the pure in heart singing a love song to Jesus.” AMEN!

Stegall Home Residents attend Valentine’s Banquet
The residents of Stegall Home attended a Valentine’s Banquet, Thursday evening at Providence Baptist Church in Charlotte. They were served dinner which consisted of a salad, spaghetti, green beans, rolls, and a strawberry shortcake for dessert. The tables held crafts for each person to decorate before the meal was served. The Acteens from the church made Valentine picture frames for everyone to bring home. Some of our residents performed musical numbers for the entertainment. A good time was had by all!
