The Sanford Christmas Parade
The holiday season is heating up for the ladies and men of Lanier/Mercer homes in Sanford. The annual Sanford Christmas Parade was held on Monday 5 December, and the residents of Lanier/Mercer were fortunate enough to be able to ride on the BB&T Christmas float. It was an unusually warm evening for December and Misty, Mary, Beth, Jeff, John, and Ricky L. along with their caregiver, Nancy, were riding high on the one of the many Christmas floats. Onlookers of all ages lined the streets to watch 109 entrants pass festively through Carthage and Wicker streets before wrapping around to Park Avenue. It was surely a sight to see with all the Christmas lights, music, and candy. The residents of Lanier and Mercer had a great time celebrating the season participating in a wonderful community event!!!
