Champions know there are no shortcuts to the top they go one step at a time
The ladies traveled to Grandfather Mountain in April during dollar days. They were able to walk through the nature museum, look at the gift shop, see the bears, otters, and courages, and walk down the mile high bridge. With the breeze blowing through their hair they enjoyed their beautiful day at one of the prettiest places in the High Country.

Spreading the Word…
On March 21st Catlin and Maria went to ASU to speak to an education class about Special Olympics and Ending the R Word. These ladies did an excellent job speaking to a class of about 25 students about their experience with Special Olympics and about themselves in gerenal. Catlin a speaking pro had no hesitations about getting up in front of the class. Maria, however, had never done any speaking engagements before and she overcame her nervousness and shared from her heart like a champ. I would like to thank ASU and Keron with Parks and Rec for allow our ladies a great opportunity to share about themselves.
