Buckets, Suds, and Baked Goods
All staff, residents, and friends of Joy Cove held a car wash/yard sale/bake sale on May 1st to raise funds for a summer vacation. Everyone cleaned out their garages and donated the finds for our yard sale and the staff and community friends prepared brownies, cakes, pies, and other yummies for the bake sale. Daniel Boone Inn donated sausage and ham biscuits, and Stick Boy Bread Company donated muffins, scones, and pumpkin bread. The residents and staff washed cars, while others manned the bake sale and yard sale. After the event, Joy Cove donated the remaining yard sale and bake sale items to other local ministries. We are happy to report that we raised $533 for our vacation this summer and everyone had a blast!
