A Saturday Surprise!

imageimage

The ladies notice the word “Surprise” on the activity calendar for Saturday January 7th for a week they tried to figure it out by asking several different staff but their lips were sealed. Little did they know that their Sunday School teacher, Kelly Hollar, had prepared a party for them to have lunch together and give them some presents! The ladies enjoyed vegetable soup, some snack items, and chocolate cake before they each received a Christmas gift that contained a cup with all the makings for hot cocoa and socks and lotion for their feet!  It was a wonderful time of food, fun, and fellowship! Thank you Kelly!!

Merry Christmas, Cowgirl!

Dr. Mayhew and staff hosted their annual Christmas party for the clients at Watauga Opportunities and the group homes in Watauga County at Greenway Baptist Church this year. The theme of the party was a wester theme. The residents were given cowboy hats, handkerchiefs, sheriff badges, and little jean sacks when they arrived at the party. The dentist office provided pizza, chips, dessert, and drink for the attendees followed by a boot-scoot-and-boogie on the dance floor! As always Santa arrived just in time to give each resident $10 in a small plastic boot! Everyone had a great time of fun and fellowship!
