Thank You Knollwood Baptist Church

Recently some members from Knollwood Baptist Church came out to Hinkle to do some Spring planting. The group placed pine needles around the flower beds, trimmed up some dead plants and even planted new ones. Knollwood Baptist Church was able to take advantage of the beautiful planting bed that was created by the rock wall the Davis House constructed. The wall pictured was built by hand and uses no mortar or cement to hold it together. The gentlemen did a truely amazing job with construction. As a result, Knollwood Baptist Church was able to utilize the space to create a beautiful flower bed that will last for many years to come. A few weeks after Knollwood’s initial visit they returned with 8 gorgeous hanging flower pots for the porches of Hinkle and Davis. They certainly make the houses look like a home!
Planting is not the only outside activity here at Hinkle House. One evening before church Hinkle Ladies were outside and some of Davis House gentlemen enjoying the beautiful day! The residents all sat in a group and sang their favorite songs. After the singing, Caregiver Yvonne had the ladies string up some plastic eggs to decorate the crape myrtle tree. Josh helped the ladies decorate, by showing off his talents of throwing the eggs into the tree and getting the strings to catch on the branches.
Hinkle House certainly looks forward to the beautiful weather ahead so they can spend many more days outside!
