Hinkle Lays in the Sun!

imageimageimageimageimageimage

This year the Hinkle House ladies got to take a trip down to North Myrtle Beach. They had beautiful weather and all report having a wonderful time. While at the beach the ladies got to spend the day at the aquarium and spend a day at the zoo. They also spent time collecting shells on the beach and floating around the pool. The ladies cannot wait to go to the beach again! Pictured you can see the group of ladies that traveled to the beach. The ladies loved going to the aquarium, they loved the section where you could touch the horse shoe crabs and the sting rays. Rosa liked going to the zoo and collecting the feathers off the ground. As you can see she has quite the handful!

Happiness Retreat 2011

imageimageimageimageimage

This June Hinkle House was very blessed and was able to attend Happiness Retreat 2011. Old Town Baptist Church sponsored the ladies and caregivers to attend. Hinkle House had a wonderful time meeting new friends and participating in all the activities that Happiness Retreat had to offer. This year the theme was Big Apple Adventure. The staff did a wonderful job decorating and creating the whole New York theme. Residents even got to take their picture in front of the statue of liberty! Residents were able to enjoy the outdoor pool, activities inside during the day, bible study classes, great food, talent show, worship and a dance. Above we have pictured Nicole, Joshua, Zann and Crystal participating the creative movement class. Nancy, Stephen, Marylene, and Caregiver, Camille participating in the hand bells class. Nancy and Marcie during fellowship. Nicole is showing off her scrap book page. Nancy and Stephen participating in the puppets class.

All residents had a great time and were exhausted by the end. They look forward to being able to attend next year’s retreat. Thank you Old Town Baptist for being able to send the Hinkle residents and staff. And thank you, NC Baptist State Convention for hosting and putting on a GREAT retreat!

All Out Cookout 2011

imageimage

In June the Hinkle Ladies had their annual BBQ. It was a great time filled with good food and great friends! Among the guests invited were family, case managers, other BCH staff and friends from Old Town Baptist Church. We were blessed with a perfect evening so we could all enjoy the beautiful yard. Here we have pictured some residents with their guests of honor waiting for the dinner bell to ring! We also have a great picture of administrator Elaine and caregiver at Davis House, Brenda. All guests have reported that they had a wonderful time and cannot wait for the Christmas Party! Guess we better get going on the planning!
