Think Positive
The boys at Alverta Bolick seem to be thankful for the small things. We have one resident who always says “thank you” before he even takes a bite of his meal. It makes me think of Jesus feeding the 5000 and giving thanks before He began to distribute the food. We live in a society where it is so easy to become busy and get caught up in what we don’t have instead of focusing on what we do. The boys at Alverta Bolick do not take many things for granted. There is constantly a sound of thankfulness upon their lips.
This week we are focusing on the words of Christ in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “in everything give thanks, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” We are asking one another each day “what are you thankful for today?” It is good to keep our focus on the many blessings that God has given us.
We have much to be thankful for. Let the faith of these boys challenge you to give thanks today!
