Rob & Ralph joined about 50 other peers at the annual prom held at Woodland Hills Baptist Church. They had such a wonderful time! Rob & Ralph were 2 sharp dressed men who danced their socks off. They danced the night away to some oldies but goodies and even some newer dances to include the Macarena. I am most certain that they slept very well afterward 
Special Olympics Spring Games are 8 days a way. The Bolick Believers are practicing walking, doing relays, and softball throws so that they are well prepared for the upcoming Special Olympics Spring Games. Remember all of the athletes May 3 as they participate in 2 of their favorite field day events. This is a local event that welcomes “God’s forever children” of all ages. Dr. Blackwell of Baptist Children’s Homes of NC noted in a speech when the Developmental Disabilities Ministries were being developed that this ministry would be home to “God’s forever children”. And so it stands…“God’s forever children” are about to embark upon a new chapter. The Special Olympics’ oath reminds our athletes that it isn’t about the win, but the finish! GO BOLICK BELIEVERS!!
AB-Tech Compensatory Education will be having their spring break in May. Many of our residents will be going home part of that time to spend time with family and friends. This will give our residents a chance to rest up before summer camps begin. Two residents will be attending summer camp out of state this year. All residents will enjoy two summer camps that they have attended together for the past several years. We are blessed to be able to send them to Christian summer camps. We will be updating this blog as the summer camps are held to bring news your way!
Easter comes but once a year. However, our residents show the joy and love from God’s love every day of the year. They have learned how to work better as a team and cheer each other on during different activities. We chose the name “Bolick Believers” as our team name when we are out in the community participating in local activities. Share our cheer: We are, we are, the Bolick Believers!!
Happy Birthday to Rob!! Rob has had several birthday celebrations this month! Rob participated in the Special Olympics state games for Basketball during the weekend of his birthday. The residents and staff were invited to his mother’s home for lunch. They enjoyed pizza, ice cream cake and a fabulous movie afterwards. We received a donation for the residents and staff to enjoy a buffet at Ryan’s in honor of Rob’s birthday. We have celebrated his birthday for 3 weekends now!
